Jazz for Veterans Mental Health Event Hosted by EYES INC OF NJ and its MOVES Program

In support of its new Clinical Division for Veterans’ mental health, EYES INC OF NJ and its MOVES program will host its second annual semi-formal Jazz, Cigars, Whiskey & Wine fundraising gala this Veterans Day, Saturday, November 11, 2023, from 6 PM – 10 PM. It is the first and only comprehensive, community-based mental health facility for Veterans and their families residing in New Jersey. The exclusive private event will be hosted at the VFW Post 7925, 45 Plymouth Street, Fairfield, New Jersey.

Live jazz will feature Mark Gross, the highly accomplished saxophonist, who has graced the stage with the likes of Dizzy Gillespie Big Band, Philip Harper, Nat Adderley, Dave Holland, Mulgrew Miller, Nicholas Payton, Dizzy Gillespie, Nancy Wilson, James Moody, Jimmy Heath, John Lee, Village Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, Tom Harrell Big Band, and Duke Ellington Orchestra, just to name a few.

Several local, state, and federal congressmen and women in support of the mission to help Veterans and their families will attend. During this event, the first two recipients of what will be a coveted award, “The Maverick Award”—recognizing those selfless Veterans who fight the good fight every day in support of their less fortunate brothers and sisters will be presented.
